Haley Lu Richardson To Star In HBO Max Film ‘UNpregnant’

Amazing news and great new project for Haley Lu!

Deadline – Deadline first told you about Warner Bros’ streaming service plans to produce an adaptation of Jenni Hendriks and Ted Caplan’s novel UNPregnant back in June. On Thursday, HBO Max made it official, saying the film from Erik Feig’s Picturestart and Greg Berlanti Productions will star Five Feet Apart‘s Haley Lu Richardson and Euphoria’s Barbie Ferreira. Rachel Lee Goldenberg remains set to direct.

UNpregnant tells the story of 17-year-old Veronica (Richardson), who never thought she’d want to fail a test—that is, until she finds herself staring at a piece of plastic with two solid pink lines. With a promising college-bound future now disappearing before her eyes, Veronica considers a decision she never imagined she’d have to make. This tough and never-taken-lightly decision leads her on a 900+ mile road trip to New Mexico over three days with her ex-best friend Bailey (Ferreira), where they discover that one of the most important factors in your life is who your friends are.

Haley Lu Richardson To Star In ‘Five Feet Apart’

Deadline — Haley Lu Richardson has been set to star opposite Cole Sprouse in “Five Feet Apart, CBS Films’ romantic drama that is being directed by Jane the Virgin‘s Justin Baldoni. The pic is now set to begin production in May.

The screenplay from Mikki Daughty and Tobias Iaconis centers on Stella and Will, two young people who refuse to be defined by the obstacles that separate them, asking the question what would love look like if you were forbidden to touch? Moises Arias has also been cast as Poe, Stella’s lifelong best friend.

Oscar-winning producer Cathy Schulman (Crash) is producing through her Welle Entertainment along with Baldoni via his Wayfarer Entertainment. Mark Ross is overseeing for CBS Films.

The move reunites Schulman and Richardson, who executive produced and co-starred, respectively, in 2016’s The Edge of Seventeen. Richardson, whose recent film credits also include Split and Columbus, is repped by Gersh, 3 Arts Entertainment and Coast to Coast Talent.
